Entries are open for the 2018 Port Townsend Woodworkers Show
Call for Entries
The Splinter Group is seeking entries for the annual Woodworkers Show to be held November 3-4, 2018, at the American Legion Hall in Port Townsend.
Submissions are sought from furniture makers, cabinetmakers, instrument makers, turners, carvers and other woodworkers in Port Townsend and adjacent areas.
Your work must be well-crafted original designs. No work from kits or commercially available plans will be accepted.
The purpose of the show is to increase awareness of the variety of skilled woodworkers in our area. You may leave business cards but we strongly recommend that you be present to sell your own work. We will not be selling your work for you. No commission will be taken on work sold.
Show hours are Saturday November 3, 2018, from 11 am to 8 pm (to coincide with the Port Townsend Gallery Walk) and Sunday November 4 from 11 am to 3 pm.
If your work is not self supporting, you will need to provide a support. If you need more than a space 5’ x 5’ please contact us to see if we have room. Wall space is available in some booths.
We ask exhibitors to deliver and set up their work Friday November 3rd between 2 - 7:00pm. If you can’t deliver your work on Friday please plan on delivering it between 7:00am and 10:00am on Saturday Nov 3rd. You will need to be fully set up by 10:00am. Please remove your work on Sunday November 4th between 3pm and 5pm.
New for 2018: We are adding an Emerging Artist entry this year for first time entrants who may have only 1-2 small pieces (with a display footprint no larger than 30”x30”). The work will be displayed in a collective Emerging Artist booth. The fee will be $25.
The regular entry fee of $60 per entrant helps cover advertising and costs. Entries are due by September 1, 2018. We will assess entries for quality and variety. We will let you know whether your entry has been accepted by September 15th 2018.
