Port Townsend Woodworkers Show 2019 - Application deadline extended to Sept 10th.
Call for Entries
Update: 9/1/2019 Deadline for applications extended to 9/10/2019.The Splinter Group is seeking entries for the annual Woodworkers Show to be held November 2-3, 2019, at the American Legion Hall in Port Townsend.
Submissions are sought from furniture makers, cabinetmakers, instrument makers, turners, carvers and other woodworkers in Port Townsend and adjacent areas.
The show's emphasis is on well-crafted original designs. No work from kits or commercially available plans will be accepted.
The purpose of the show is to increase awareness of the variety of skilled woodworkers in our area. You may leave business cards but we strongly recommend that you be present to sell your own work. We will not be selling your work for you. No commission will be taken on work sold.
Show hours are Saturday November 2, 2019, from 11:00am to 8:00pm (to coincide with the Port Townsend Gallery Walk) and Sunday November 3 from 11:00am to 3:00pm. If you need more than a space 5’ x 5’ please contact us to see if we have room. Just two booths provide wall space for hanging items, if you are not allocated one of these booths you will need to provide support.
We ask exhibitors to deliver and set up their work Friday November 1st between 2:00-7:00pm. If you can’t deliver your work on Friday please plan on delivering it between 9:00am and 10:00am on Saturday Nov 2nd. You will need to be fully set up by 10:00am. Please remove your work on Sunday November 3rd between 3pm and 4pm.
The Emerging Artist category is for first time entrants who may have only 1-2 small pieces (with a display footprint no larger than 30”x30”). The work will be displayed in a collective Emerging Artist booth. The fee will be $15.
The regular entry fee of $75 per entrant helps cover advertising and costs. Entries are due by September 1, 2019.
We will assess entries for quality and variety. We will let you know whether your entry has been accepted by September 20th 2019.
